How do you unlock the Whisperwake Isles?
The chain that community sources agree on is Lv.55, the Trailblazer I title and the main quest A Tale of Tide and Song. That sequence is not printed in the main S1 Part 2 patch note, which omits the level number and the title. Two independent community sites repeat all three conditions and trace them back to an official preview from 16 October, so the chain is treated here as community-verified rather than official text.
Community-verified The practical flow, also from community sources, starts at Echoback Landing, where the player meets Dr. Lewis and Nicole. A night investigation of singing from the sea follows, and the next quest, "Strange Island", opens on the Crescent Bay shore. Setting up the research station there unlocks the outpost teleport, which is the point where the region becomes a normal part of the map.
Nothing about the region is paywalled. The unlock is level, title and story, and the region then behaves like the old continent: Nurture, badges, Alpha or Omega challenges and a seasonal activity. The region badge guide covers the shared four-tier framework, though Whisperwake's own thresholds are not published.
Which four zones does the region contain?
The official zone names are fixed, and the quest text uses one alias worth knowing: Wildwater Gorge appears in some quests and patch notes as "Skytear Rift". The map and badge page use Wildwater Gorge, so that is the name to search for in-game.
| Zone | Ecology | Level band | Signature species | Badge boss |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Crescent Bay | Water, Grass, Earth, Wind, Dark; one snapshot also lists Ice | About 50 to 59, sources conflict | Bubbeep; Prismana Gachapus | Not identified |
| Rosy Mirelands | Water, Grass, Earth, Wind, Ice, Dark | 60 to 63 | Sugartini; Prismana Sugartini | Sugartini |
| Wildwater Gorge | Water, Lightning, Wind, Ice, Dark | 61 to 63 | Jabster; Prismana Jabster | Jabster |
| Cloudreach Falls | Water, Wind, Dark; the narrowest ecology in the region | 62 to 64 | Whirlbite; Prismana Whirlbite | Jeburst, level disputed |
Community table Level bands come from community habitat pages and one in-game screenshot, which is why Crescent Bay has two competing ranges. The badge boss column reflects community badge tables only: the Rosy Mirelands and Wildwater Gorge entries are doubled by a second source, Cloudreach Falls' Jeburst is single-source, and Crescent Bay's boss is genuinely unknown. Do not fill that blank by guessing.
Crescent Bay sits at the bottom of the region and is also where the story lands first. Cloudreach Falls is the vertical zone: the waterfall forms of Dewlop and Dewple are quest-gated fixed points, not random spawns, and the climb to the top of the falls is part of the intended route rather than an optional detour.
Which Prismana forms are permanent?
Four forms are permanent residents of the region. They have no season end date, and each belongs to one zone. The trigger is the same in every case: Nurture the zone's Bloom, fill Prismatic Energy, and let Prismana Flow start. A player can also force a Flow with a Prismatic Crystal, up to three times a day.
| Form | Zone | Trigger | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gachapus | Crescent Bay | Regional Nurture, Prismana Flow | Community, weaker single source |
| Sugartini | Rosy Mirelands | Regional Nurture, Prismana Flow | Two community sources plus a patch-note reference |
| Jabster | Wildwater Gorge | Regional Nurture, Prismana Flow | Two community sources |
| Whirlbite | Cloudreach Falls | Regional Nurture, Prismana Flow | Two community sources |
These four are the forms the fourth-tier badge asks for, and they are not interchangeable with the seasonal rotation. No official source publishes fixed coordinates or encounter rates for them, so the work is Nurture volume rather than route knowledge. The maths behind the trigger is on the Prismana hunting guide: 480 Prismatic Energy per Nurture, a 3 percent direct Flow chance, and a guaranteed Flow at full energy.
How does the Vein Abundance rotation work?
Vein Abundance is the seasonal Prismana rotation attached to the region. Each featured form appears in a new zone and a paired old-continent zone at the same time, and each window starts and ends at 04:00 UTC+8. The final week puts all four together.
| Window | Featured form | Whisperwake zone | Paired old zone |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 to 9 November | Pouchwisp | Rosy Mirelands | Tideblossom Coast |
| 9 to 16 November | Royalby | Wildwater Gorge | Sea of Flowers |
| 16 to 23 November | Jeburst | Cloudreach Falls | Russet Highlands |
| 23 to 30 November | Glameep | Crescent Bay | Echoback Landing |
| 30 November to 7 December | All four | All four zones | All four pairs |
Official calendar The rotation table is printed in the S1 Part 2 announcement. Two cautions follow from it. First, the featured species are season-limited and disappear when their window closes, unlike the four permanent forms. Second, they do not substitute for the permanent form a fourth-tier badge requires. A player who catches Glameep during its week still needs Prismana Gachapus for Crescent Bay's final badge step.
Species names in the table are community English labels where the official English page uses a different transliteration; the dates and zone pairings are the official part. The full activity window opened on 30 October and closes on 7 December, three days before the season's 10 December update.
What exclusive materials should you know?
Two progression items are region-locked and are the most common waste of resources for returning players:
- Prismana Orb: Whisperwake Isles converts a Whisperwake species into its Prismana form. It does not work on old-continent species, and old-continent Orbs do not work here.
- Whisperwake Isles Dewdrop Crystal is the region's Star Rank and breakthrough material. The old-continent equivalents do not substitute.
The region also adds three Held Items and a set of collectibles, including Prismatic Iris, Butterfly Dream Amber, Ironhelm Shieldguard and Songbird Serenade. The Held Items are listed in the corpus only under Chinese names, with no settled English labels in the sources used here, so they are described by role rather than by name until the client or an official page fixes them.
Whisperwake has its own Branch, with a 15-level track at roughly 10 points per level. The community-read nodes are Lv.3 for Wild Surge, Lv.6 for manual weather, Lv.9 for a guaranteed Wonder Egg, Lv.12 for a guaranteed Vein Essence and Lv.15 for a guaranteed Perfect Egg plus no out-of-combat stamina cost in the region. Those node effects are community-sourced; the Branch and Nurture guide explains how injection and Nurture charges work.
What is still unconfirmed?
The region shipped with a thinner public record than the old continent, and several of the blanks are structural rather than cosmetic:
- Badge thresholds. No official table exists for any of the four zones. Crescent Bay's silver boss, gold Amber count and fourth-tier conditions are all missing.
- Unlock level. The Lv.55 and Trailblazer I conditions are community-verified, not printed in the main patch note.
- Crescent Bay's level band. Sources split between 50 to 55 and 54 to 59.
- Crescent Bay's boss. No source names it. The Prismana Gachapus attribution is a weaker single-source claim than the other three forms.
- Bloom coverage. Only the Crescent Bay Bloom is confirmed; the other three zones are unresolved.
- Coordinates. No source publishes fixed spawn points for the permanent forms, Alpha or Omega challenges.
Where a source is silent, this page says so instead of filling the gap. A four-zone "badge complete" claim is not supported by the current record, and neither is a claim that every zone has a Nurture Bloom.
