Is this an official Aniimo tier list?
No. Pawprint Studio does not publish a tier list. Community data-mining of the client found one recommended Held Item per species and no ranking field at all, which means every S, A and B below is editorial judgment rather than a game value.
Community ranking The bands merge five public PvE lists published between 19 September and 23 October 2026: AllThingsHow, Mobalytics, ProGameGuides, CritPick and the aniimoverse vote board. A species reaches S when at least two independent lists put it at the top of its role. A split vote is noted in the entry rather than automatically demoting it; Inferlupa is the one case where the split is large enough to move it to A.
Official "Roster Recommendation" teams are a different thing. They group species by beginner, advanced and endgame progression and mean "this is usable", not "this is strong". The official Beginner 1 team includes Helion, Glacy and Turbo; only two of those are high on community lists.
How does the ranking break down by role?
Read down the role, not across the band. A B-tier BREAK unit still matters more than an S-tier DPS on a team with no BREAK answer, because damage into a guard bar is damage wasted. If you are still assembling a first team, start with the team building guide.
| Role | S | A | B |
|---|---|---|---|
| DPS | Fulmintis, Irisalis (limited) | Stellarys, Thornblade | Scorchhowl, Helion, Lunara |
| BREAK | Tubster | Rookey, Geoclaw, Panpanta | Inferlupa (split), Blazen (post-patch), Minespine, Helgon |
| Heal | Gracewing, Glacy | Leafy (Grass teams only) | Glameep |
| REGEN | Somniwing | Besauce, Erlath (Water teams only) | Hexxin, Flamerion |
| Support | Turbo, Luminelle | Melloblum, Dazmand, Fragrancier | Tromber, Eklue, Piopiota |
Single-source or split Glameep, Tromber, Eklue and Piopiota appear on one list only and should be treated as placeholder picks until a second source ranks them.
Which DPS should you build?
Fulmintis is the consensus main DPS. It sits at 130 ATK, refunds 4 EP whenever a skill crits, keeps a 25 percent skill crit bonus on its enhanced lightning blade and paralyzes for 1.5 seconds with the lightning spear. The trade-off is 66 P.Def: if it gets caught, it dies. That is why every serious Fulmintis team also runs a BREAK unit and a Heal unit.
Irisalis is the only Legendary species. Its 240-power petal strike is the highest single hit in the data set, it leaves a clone on landing, and at nine Dance Power stacks its next skill costs half and heals the team for 8 percent of max HP. It also self-revives. Two limits keep it out of the default recommendation: 50 BREAK means it cannot open its own window, and its capsule depends on weekly-capped Iris Petals with the Legendary Journey ending 9 December 2026.
Stellarys and Thornblade are the practical A-band answers. Stellarys brings a leap attack, a clone at 20 percent damage and ranged pressure. Thornblade has the highest normal-attack multiplier in the table through Sword Dance, plus a 20 percent reduction and counter on Thorn Defense, but it is a melee unit with 74 P.Def and needs rhythm.
Scorchhowl is the beginner-friendly Fire DPS: a fire kick that doubles as a dodge, and a breaker that scales with remaining energy. It is sturdy rather than consistent, and the 29 October patch fixed its enhanced core skill being interrupted by normal attacks.
Build one main DPS, not three. Potential is the only layer that raises starting strength and it does not transfer freely, so spreading it across the box produces three half-built carries. The held items and builds page covers the Ferocious Fang default and the crit or burst alternatives.
Which BREAK unit fits your team?
Tubster is the safest BREAK pick and the closest thing to a consensus in the role. Under a shield it gains 40 percent BREAK, it opens a 7-second field that cuts team damage by 35 percent, and each break reduces team stamina cost by 30 percent. It is the only BREAK unit with team protection, which is why it survives bad pulls that kill glassier options. Its weakness is the same 66 P.Def and a kit that wants grouping and scattering at the same time.
Rookey is the reflect option: a defensive ball that returns damage and shreds the guard bar, with better survival than most BREAK units. Geoclaw is the mono-Ice answer, stacking ice layers for 35 percent BREAK above five stacks with 113 P.Def and almost no external setup. Panpanta gained shield value from 8 to 11 percent of max HP on 29 October, but it still wants a Water field and careful family management.
Inferlupa is the role's biggest argument. Mobalytics calls it the best BREAK unit, AllThingsHow puts it at S and CritPick puts it at B because its eight-hit opening window is short. The patch then cut Blazing Wolf Assault from 20 to 15 EP but stretched its cooldown from 1 second to 20 seconds, which makes the rotation less spam-friendly. Treat it as A with a caveat, not S.
Blazen was a top BREAK pick before the patch. It now has 90 ATK instead of 100, with HP raised from 100 to 112 and REGEN from 86 to 98. The overcharge loop still refunds skill cost, and the bug that stopped it restoring ultimate points after a swap is fixed, but its damage side is clearly weaker.
Tested in build The 29 October damage direction is official: BREAK units now use ATK and BREAK together instead of BREAK alone. The exact coefficients circulating (0.42 and a 2.2x ATK cap) are community-derived. The practical read is unchanged: BREAK remains a separate build axis, and the Twine and BREAK combat page explains the window.
Who are the best Heal, REGEN and Support picks?
Gracewing is the best pure Heal. It ticks healing in the background whenever a teammate casts, cleanses debuffs through Phantom Dance without swapping, and its "Help! Gracewing!" button instantly restores 30 percent to the team. Its own damage is close to zero, which is the point: it is an insurance slot. Glacy is the zone healer. Life Spring drops a healing field that can cover an entire boss phase without occupying the field, Glimmer Shot adds 15 percent team damage for 20 seconds, and Glacy appears in three of the seven official recommended teams, more than any other species. Healing scales off Glacy's own max HP, so level it before judging it.
Somniwing is the REGEN answer. Hypnosis control plus a 25 percent damage-taken debuff and an energy wave for the whole team makes it element-agnostic, and the patch did not touch it directly. CritPick rates it B because its gear options are thin, but Mobalytics and AllThingsHow both put it at the top of REGEN. Besauce is the expensive alternative: strong burst energy, but 40 fragments and a long adventure-challenge grind, with 88 HP and no shield.
Turbo is the default Support for mixed teams because Cloudburst raises both damage and BREAK efficiency, which most supports only do one of. Cloud Shield absorbs 15 percent of max HP and its pickups heal 7 percent each. Luminelle is better inside Lightning: one beam damages and heals, Spotlight adds 17 percent normal-attack damage and 10 percent BREAK efficiency, and its trait gives the supported ally 25 percent Lightning damage. Outside Lightning, two-thirds of its kit does nothing.
Melloblum is the Grass crit enabler, Dazmand the Lightning crit-rate support, and Fragrancier the Dark resistance shredder. The patch narrowed Fragrancier's scent mark from all attributes to the specified attribute, which is a correctness fix rather than a nerf.
What did the 29 October patch change?
The S1 Part 2 balance pass adjusted 19 species: nine pure numeric or skill changes and ten description alignments or bug fixes. It is the reason old tier lists cannot be copied wholesale.
| Species | Change | Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Hexxin | ATK 88 to 100; all skills about 20 percent stronger | Buff |
| Blazen | ATK 100 to 90; HP 100 to 112; REGEN 86 to 98 | Output down, survival up |
| Inferlupa | Blazing Wolf Assault 20 to 15 EP; cooldown 1s to 20s | Structure change |
| Panpanta | Splash Shield 8 to 11 percent of max HP | Buff |
| Waleetle | ATK 114 to 120 | Buff |
| Fenmane | Thunder Imprint 1 to 2 power per tick | Buff |
| Scorchhowl, Thornblade, Fulmintis, Irisalis | Bug and description fixes | Indirect buff |
If you already invested in Tuckin, Panpanta, Sherro, Hexxin, Inferlupa or Ignitis, the free reset window runs until 13 November 2026 at 04:00 and returns experience items, resonance and star-rank materials, Potential materials and Capafruit uses. Blazen and Waleetle are not in that list, so any rebuild there costs materials.
Not yet published Every mainstream community list was written before the patch, between 19 September and 23 October. As of 1 November 2026 none had republished a post-patch ranking, and GameMarket explicitly said it was waiting for the new ATK formula to settle. The bands on this page therefore combine pre-patch placement with patch facts, not fresh testing.
Which popular Aniimo are overrated?
Helion and Lunara. Both starters are on the official Beginner 1 team, which players read as an endorsement. In practice Helion's 20 percent finisher bonus with no weakness hit and Lunara's self-buff, self-heal and permanent growth are safe but unremarkable, and CritPick files both in B. They are fine transition units and a bad long-term investment.
Inferlupa. The "best BREAK" label comes from a single strong list. The other major list puts it at B, and the patch stretched its signature skill cooldown twentyfold. It is still good, not automatic.
Blazen. Pre-patch rankings that call it a top BREAK carry are stale. The ATK cut matters more than the HP and REGEN compensation for a unit whose job is to break guards quickly.
Irisalis. Calling it the best DPS ignores availability. Its damage is real, but weekly petals, a limited capsule and a 9 December endpoint mean most players will never field one. A ranking that assumes every species is owned is not a buying guide.
One more trap: "SS" on a community list is that site's internal label, not a shared standard. Mobalytics uses SS where CritPick uses S, so comparing letters across sites produces fake disagreements. Compare placement within a role instead.
How should you use this list?
Pick one DPS, one BREAK unit and one sustain unit, then fill the third slot with the element that matches the content you are farming. Check the elements and weakness chart before committing, because an S-tier unit on the wrong element still fights uphill.
Then check acquisition. A unit you cannot obtain this month is not a recommendation. Fulmintis comes from the Companion Handbook path rather than open-world capture, Irisalis from a time-limited Legendary track, Besauce from a fragment grind. The build page covers what to put on each role, and the materials page covers the currency you need to finish a build.
Finally, revisit in mid-to-late November. Post-patch lists are expected once the new damage formula has enough test data, and this page will change when they land.
