Two local storage values, no analytics, and advertising cookies that only appear if Google ads are running.

What this notice covers

This page explains the small amount of storage this site creates on your device and the advertising cookies Google may set. The short version: the site itself sets no cookies, remembers two preferences in local storage and runs no analytics.

Local storage used by the site

Two values are kept in your browser's local storage:

  • aniimo:theme — your choice of light or dark theme, read on the next page load so the site does not flash the wrong color.
  • aniimo:cookie-consent — a flag set to 1 when you dismiss the banner, so it stops reappearing.

Local storage is not a cookie. It is never sent with a page request, and the publisher cannot read it. Clearing site data removes both values; the theme resets and the banner may return.

Analytics

The site currently uses no analytics: no Google Analytics tag, no heatmap, no session recording. Traffic figures, where they exist, come from the host's ordinary server logs described in the privacy policy. If analytics is added, this page will be updated before it goes live.

Advertising cookies

The site may show ads through Google. When advertising is active, Google AdSense and its third-party vendors may set cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, limit repetition and measure performance.

Those cookies belong to Google and its partners, not to this site. The publisher cannot read them and receives no individual data from them. Opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or of many vendors at once at aboutads.info. Opting out makes ads less relevant, not absent.

How to control cookies

Every major browser lets you block, delete or limit cookies under privacy or site settings, and private windows discard most storage when closed. Mobile browsers offer the same controls. Blocking cookies does not stop this guide from working; at most, the theme resets and the banner returns.

Clearing "cookies and site data" for this domain removes the two local storage values as well. A storage inspector will show those two keys and nothing else.

The banner appears on a first visit and stays until you press "Got it". Pressing it stores the consent flag and hides the banner; it sets no cookies and neither enables nor blocks advertising. It is a notice, not a consent gate. To limit advertising cookies, use the Google and browser controls above.
