What is a Branch in Aniimo?
A Branch is a tree-shaped upgrade track tied to a landmass. The player injects Lumin Amber into it, one node at a time, and the nodes unlock map-wide privileges: better capture rates, the Nurture system itself, manual weather, weekly eggs, hidden caves and stamina-free travel. It is not a per-region track. The old continent's 14 regions all draw on one Breezy Plains tree and are selected individually inside the Nurture panel.
That distinction matters because players see 14 region names in the panel and assume there are 14 trees. There are two, and the Whisperwake Isles tree is separate in every way: its Amber pool, its nodes and its Blossom access do not carry over. The tree is also the second gate on Nurture, after the region badge.
How many levels and how much Lumin Amber does it take?
Each tree has 15 levels and each level costs 10 Lumin Amber, so a finished tree costs 150. The cost curve is flat: there is no rising price at higher levels. Six levels are functional nodes at 10, 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 Amber; the other nine give either plus 10 percent stamina cap or minus 10 percent stamina cost, plus a guaranteed material drop from the drop table.
| Amber | Level | Node |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | L1 | Lucky Encounter: plus 10 percent capture rate in the region |
| 30 | L3 | Prospering Clusters: unlocks Nurture and adds 10 extra daily Nurture slots |
| 60 | L6 | Prismana Radiance: manual weather control; Flow can spawn the regional Prismana |
| 90 | L9 | Sparkling Encounter: a weekly egg at the tree, reset Monday 04:00; Wonder Egg guaranteed |
| 120 | L12 | Earthwake Revelation: reveals the region's hidden cave; Vein Essence guaranteed |
| 150 | L15 | Wanderer's Might: no stamina cost outside combat; Perfect Egg guaranteed |
Community tables The node effects are consistent across three community sources, but the guaranteed item quantities are single-source and the official patch note publishes no level table. Treat the Amber values as reliable and the exact drops as a guide.
Level 6 and the silver badge both unlock weather control, so whichever arrives first opens the feature; the interface simply shows two progress bars. Do not push Branch levels purely for weather if the region is already close to 70 percent collection.
What does each level unlock?
The practical priority is level 3, then level 6, then level 12. Level 3 is mandatory because no Nurture happens without it. Level 6 is the point where a region can finally force its own Prismana weather instead of waiting for a natural Flow. Level 12 opens the hidden cave and hands back a Vein Essence, which partly refunds the push. Level 9 is a convenience egg and level 15 is quality-of-life travel, so both can wait.
Between those nodes, the nine filler levels are not worthless, because stamina cap and stamina cost stack across the whole tree and apply everywhere. They are simply not worth prioritizing over level 3 when Amber is scarce.
Where are the Nurture Blooms?
Nurture Blooms are the purple Bloom icons scattered one per region. The old continent has 14, one in each region, and the current build confirms one more in Crescent Bay on Whisperwake Isles, for 15 known Nurture points. The purple icon doubles as a fast-travel point once touched.
Two other objects look similar and are not Nurture Blooms:
- Fast-travel Blooms — gray then blue icons, 24 standard points plus three underground cave points on the old continent. They unlock travel and terrain, not Nurture.
- Morning Star Blooms — 18 collectible material nodes. They are pickups, not interaction points, and cannot start a surge.
Each Nurture Bloom is tied to one default Prismana species, and that target cannot be changed except by a Vein Abundance season override. If a species is not on the Bloom table, it will never come out of a surge, no matter how much energy is banked. The full regional list and the season swaps are on the Prismana hunting page and the Whisperwake Isles page.
Not published Only Crescent Bay is confirmed in the new region. The other three Whisperwake subregions may or may not have a Nurture Bloom; no official or multi-source list settles it.
How do you run a Nurture session?
The whole loop is one panel and one Bloom. Do it in this order or the energy will not bank.
- Open the tree panel and select the region. The region must be at bronze and the tree at level 3, or the option is grayed out.
- Place an offering from the 32-item offering pool. Offerings bias which family appears; they do not raise the quality of the surge, and that has been true since 29 October.
- Travel to the purple Bloom and touch it. The Bloom enters a waiting state until touched.
- Clear the Wild Surge. It runs about 180 seconds and holds roughly 20 Aniimo. Capture them; defeats pay no energy.
- Pick the Veinfruit at the center of the Bloom. This settles the session and stores the regional energy.
If the surge ends and the fruit is left on the ground, the run is wasted. If the panel says the Branch is too low level, the message is literal: "The Branch linked to this Bloom is at a low level." That is a 30-Amber problem, not a bug.
What do Vein Essence and Veinfruit do?
Vein Essence is an Epic material, item ID 1103. Its two uses are extra Nurtures after the free charges are gone, and repairing vein damage described in its item text. Each Essence-funded Nurture adds the same 480 Prismatic Energy and carries the same 3 percent direct Flow chance. The stack limit of 10,000 is community data, not an official figure.
Sources are broad rather than grindy: season stamp shops, the Mysterious Vendor, Elite Training chapter rewards, region completion milestones, Holo-Battle Interlink rewards, Legendary Investigations, world-boss first clears and both Branch level 12 nodes. The materials and currency page lists the shop and cap details.
Veinfruit is the pickup at the end of a surge. It does not go into a bag as a currency; it settles the run and releases the accumulated energy into the selected region. During a Vein Abundance week the fruit pays 50 percent extra energy, which makes stockpiled Essence worth more in that window than on a normal day. The fruit itself is the reason "catch, then pick" is the correct order.
What changes on the Whisperwake tree?
The Whisperwake Isles tree mirrors the ladder but not every node. Levels 3, 6 and 9 do the same things: Nurture unlock, manual weather and a guaranteed Wonder Egg. Level 12 pays a Vein Essence instead of revealing a hidden cave, and level 15 combines stamina-free travel with a Perfect Egg.
That level 12 difference trips up players who copy old-continent advice into the new region. There is no cave node on the Whisperwake tree in the community drop table, and the official patch note publishes no level table at all. The 10 Amber per level and 150 total are also community-derived for this tree, which makes the whole cost structure "same shape, not official".
The two Amber pools are separate. Old-continent Lumin Amber cannot be injected into the Whisperwake tree, and the new region's Amber cannot finish the old tree. If you split play between both continents, pick one tree to finish first rather than feeding both halfway.
Do you need all 202 Lumin Amber?
No. A full tree needs 150, not 202. The old continent's total is counted two ways: about 202 pieces, made of 162 open-world pickups, 23 boss first-clears and 17 Sanctum first-clears, or about 139 on a separate interactive-map count. Both are community figures, and they disagree because they count different scopes, not because one is wrong.
That leaves roughly 50 pieces of slack on the high count, which is why a full tree does not require a full-map sweep. Spawn conditions still matter: some pickups only appear in rain, snow or a specific night window, and some quest-triggered pieces only spawn after a completion step elsewhere. The region badge page covers the collection side, and the Homeland and RV page covers the production that funds the travel.
One more warning: the gold badge usually asks for five Lumin Amber per region, but at least one old region, Snowridge Meadows, asks for three. Check the in-game badge page rather than assuming five everywhere.
