How do region badges work?
A Region Badge is a completion track attached to one region, not to the account. The old continent has 14 regions, and each runs its own four-step ladder. The percentage on each ladder counts only Aniimo captured inside that region. A duplicate caught somewhere else adds nothing, which is the single most common reason a checklist stalls in the nineties.
Progress sits on the region page of the Research Handbook (Aniilog), and the badge page is also where the game states the extra condition for the next step. The percentage gates are 40, 70 and 100. The fourth tier sits above gold; it is a badge variant, not a fifth percentage node. Every step pairs the threshold with a fixed task, so a player can reach 100 percent and still be missing the gold badge.
Tested in build The ladder is functional, not cosmetic. Bronze opens Nurture, silver opens weather control, gold speeds Prismatic Energy, and the fourth tier makes the region's signature species friendlier to approach. Reading it as a completion score misses the point of the system.
What does each tier unlock?
| Tier | Requirement | Permanent unlock | One-off reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 40 percent local completion | Regional Nurture and Pathfinder's Catch Bonus | 500 Safaris and 1 Vein Essence |
| Silver | 70 percent plus defeating the regional Alpha | Higher-potential spawn rate and manual weather control | 500 Safaris and 1 Echoes of the Sea |
| Gold | 100 percent plus the region's Lumin Amber | Faster Prismatic Energy accumulation | Region Champion's Seal and 100 Sparkling Crystal |
| Fourth tier | Gold plus one Sparkling Prismana and two species at Prismana research rank | Affinity with the region's designated species | Badge variant; no separate reward |
Community table The thresholds and rewards above come from community badge tables cross-checked against the official probability page. The one-off item quantities are single-source and marked as such; the unlock effects are consistent across sources.
Order matters more than raw percentage. Silver is what makes rain and storm forms farmable, because manual weather control is locked behind it. A player who pushes one region to 100 percent before taking its Alpha fight ends up waiting on natural weather for the last few entries, which is slower than doing the 70 percent step first.
Why does the Lumin Amber cost vary?
The gold badge does not just ask the player to hold Lumin Amber. It asks the player to obtain and inject the region's Amber, which is the same currency used to upgrade regional Branches. The widely quoted number is five per region. That number is not universal: Snowridge Meadows is a documented counter-example that needs three. The old continent holds 202 Amber in total, split across 162 wild nodes, 23 boss drops and 17 dungeon first clears, but the badge requirement is set region by region.
Unverified count Treat "five Amber" as a default, not a rule. The in-game badge page prints the real requirement, and that number should override any guide, including this one. Injecting Amber into a Branch node before finishing the badge is also a real cost: the same item serves two systems, so decide which region is being completed before spending it.
How do you raise catch completion fastest?
Completion is a checklist problem, not a spawn-rate problem. The efficient order is:
- Exclusive species first. The Aniilog habitat list marks entries that appear only in this region. They are the ones that cannot be picked up anywhere else.
- Condition forms after silver. Rain, storm, waterfall and night forms are the entries most players miss. The night window is 20:00 to 06:00, and weather forms become farmable once manual weather control is unlocked.
- Defeat the Alpha, then make one capture attempt. An Alpha cannot be captured while it is alive. The defeat itself is enough for the silver badge; the capture attempt is a bonus, not a requirement.
- Check eggs and evolutions. Hatched eggs count toward regional completion, and some evolution entries need a quest step before they can appear at all.
- Walk routes for sparse species. An entry with one to three known spawn points is not worth camping. Pass through its habitat repeatedly while doing something else.
Capture odds follow a fixed chain: base rate, ball multiplier, level gap, back attack, status. A level gap of 15 or more reduces the multiplier to 0.1, so catching above your band wastes balls. In battle, the HP multiplier rises toward double at low HP. None of this changes completion directly, but it changes how long each missing entry takes.
What is Whisperwake's badge status?
The four Whisperwake Isles zones added in S1 Part 2 launched without a published badge table. Official patch notes for the update mention the region, the new species and the activity, but not thresholds, boss names or Amber counts. The only structured four-tier table is a single community source, and it is incomplete for Crescent Bay: the silver boss, the gold Amber count and the fourth-tier conditions are all blank.
Unofficial thresholds The 40, 70 and 100 figures for the new zones are inherited from the old-continent rule layer, not printed for Whisperwake. They are probably right, because the mode uses one badge framework, but "probably" is the correct word. Do not treat a four-zone fourth-tier completion as confirmed until the in-game badge pages fill in the blanks. The zone-by-zone detail is on the Whisperwake Isles guide.
Which badges should you chase first?
Push bronze across every region that is open, then silver on the region being actively farmed, then let gold arrive as a by-product of collection. The fourth tier is a late-game target, because it needs a Sparkling Prismana and two research ranks, both of which run on real-time systems rather than on playtime.
The reason is economic. Bronze and silver cost a few hours and unlock tools that make every later step faster. Gold and the fourth tier cost Amber, Prismana Flow luck and research time, and they do not help the next region. A player who finishes silver in four regions will out-collect a player who golds one region in the same window.
Bronze everywhere, silver where you are farming, then gold as it comes. If a region is stuck, check three things first: a foreign duplicate counted as progress, a missing weather form, and an Alpha that was never defeated. Those three account for most stalled badges.
For the systems behind the last two tiers, see the Branch and Nurture guide and the Prismana hunting guide. Both explain why a gold badge can be finished long before its fourth tier is reachable.
